I had my cable disconnected today since I am almost never home to watch it and I have much better uses for the money. As a reward to myself, I decided to order a new TV on DVD set. I was going to get another season of The Golden Girls (yeah, how gay), but much to my surprise, I discovered that Maude is on DVD! How cool is that? So I ordered the first season of that instead. That show is totally hysterical. Right on Maude!

Lady Godiva was a freedom rider
She didnt' care if the whole world looked.
Joan of Arc with the Lord to guide her
She was a sister who really cooked.

Isadora was the first bra burner
And you're glad she showed up. (Oh yeah)
And when the country was falling apart
Betsy Ross got it all sewed up.

And then there's Maude.
And then there's Maude.
And then there's Maude.
And then there's Maude.
And then there's Maude.
And then there's Maude.
And then there's

That old compromisin', enterprisin', anything but tranquilizing,
Right on Maude.

I love Maude!

I can't believe you like Maude. I LOVED that show back in the day!! Classic TV is so much better than the crap that passes for entertainment now.

I never had seen it until about 5 (?) years ago when it first ran on TV Land, and I thought it was totally hysterical. It seemed like it was hardly ever on after that, so I'm happy to find these DVDs.

You are so right about the classic TV being better than the current stuff. I'm so glad that they are releasing so much of the old stuff on DVD. Made the decision to trash cable that much easier!

I don't even have cable. The basic eight channels from the air is good enough for me, lol.

I'm also waiting for them to come out with DVDs of the old b&W Rifleman show.
